When attempting to perform WIP Completion return transactions, error occurs: Invalid Serial Number (Doc ID 2943465.1)

Symptoms

When attempting to perform WIP Completion return transactions, the following error occurs.

ERROR
-----------------------

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

1.Login to Work In Process responsibility

2. Perform WIP Completion for Job1 for assembly 'Assembly1' with the serial number 'Serial1'

N:WIP > Material Transactions > Completion Transactions > Transaction Type > WIP Completion > Continue 

3. Onhand of the 'Assembly1' got increased and 'Serial1' got introduced in warehouse.

N:Inventory > On-hand,Availibilty : On-hand Quantity > Query Material

4. Perform WIP Completion for 'Job2', for 'Assembly2' ( which has Assembly1 as sub component and is also Serial Controlled).

N:WIP > Material Transactions > Completion Transactions > Transaction Type > WIP Completion > Continue 

5. Now 'Assembly1' (with Serial1) will get issued out as WIP Issue and onhand for 'Assembly2' and serial number associated with it 'Serial2' will get increased in inventory

N:WIP > Material Transactions > View Material Transactions 

N:Inventory > On-hand,Availibilty : On-hand Quantity > Query Material

6. Now Perform WIP Completion Return for 'Job2'. By doing this 'Assembly2' and 'Serial2' will again go out of Inventory and 'Assembly1' and 'Serial1' will re introduced in inventory

N:WIP > Material Transactions > Completion Transactions > Transaction Type > WIP Completion Return > Continue 

N:Inventory > On-hand,Availibilty : On-hand Quantity > Query Material

7. 'Assembly1' and 'Serial1' were originally related to 'job1'. And now as both are available in inventory, perform WIP Completion Return for 'job1' find the serial number in LOV

N:Inventory > On-hand,Availibilty : On-hand Quantity > Query Material

N:WIP > Material Transactions > Completion Transactions > Transaction Type > WIP Completion Return > Continue
