Goal
This note explains detailed steps to use the Item open interface to validate item attributes in any organization. Item open interface import process helps validate any Master-Child Conflict errors as well as any inconsistencies in Organization controlled attributes without performing any updates on the item. This may be required for various reasons like -
- Reviewing Data inconsistencies to ensure smooth item updates per latest Item validations
- Reviewing Old item data created prior to an upgrade which may have incorrect default values
- Reviewing Items in Inactive Organizations which may have not been updated for a long time
