Goal

This note explains detailed steps to use the Item open interface to validate item attributes in any organization. Item open interface import process helps validate any Master-Child Conflict errors as well as any inconsistencies in Organization controlled attributes without performing any updates on the item. This may be required for various reasons like -

  1. Reviewing Data inconsistencies to ensure smooth item updates per latest Item validations
  2. Reviewing Old item data created prior to an upgrade which may have incorrect default values
  3. Reviewing Items in Inactive Organizations which may have not been updated for a long time
