Is it possible to change the application name in the Data Group for the  responsibility used for Latin America Localizations Receivables?

The application Data Group for responsibility is Latin American Localizations, we want to change the application to Receivables.
Is it possible? What would be the consequences?
The reason for this change is that the current set up is giving us an Error when trying to run Create Accounting for Latin America in AR and AP program. For other responsibilities with different value in application for data group than Latina American Localizations, there is no issue.
