INVIDITM: Serial Tagging Assignments Do Not Refresh In Pop-up When Querying Different Items Without Closing The Organization Items Form. (Doc ID 2944297.1)

Last updated on APRIL 24, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle Item Master - Version 12.2.9 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

The display of Serial Tagging Assignments persists between items in the Organization Item form unless the form is closed between searches for items.
The "fictitious" assignments do not actually exist in the database (mtl_serial_tagging_assignments), however, it doesn't matter whether the Summary (multi-row)
or Detail view is used on the form.

STEPS
-------
1. Confirm no Serial Tagging Assignments for two items: Navigation: Inventory > Items > Organization Items
2. Find first item on Organization Items form > Actions > Serial Tagging Assignments > Confirm no assignments for first item. > Close pop-up. IMPORTANT: Close Organization Item Form.
3. Find second item Navigation: Inventory > Items > Organization Items > Confirm no Serial Tagging Assignments.
4. Enter Serial Tagging Assignment for second item: For Transaction Type, select WIP Issue > Save record.
5. Close Serial Tagging Assignments pop-up form but do not close the Organization Item form.
6. Click on the Inventory tab and observe that the Serial Tagging Enabled checkbox is enabled.
7. Query the first item > Check Serial Tagging Assignments for the first item, see that it incorrectly indicates that WIP Issue is enabled even though serial tagging was not selected.
8. Close the Serial Tagging Assignments pop-up and select the Inventory tab > See Serial Tagging Enabled check box is disabled  -- Expected
9. Close Organization Item Form, query the first item again and examine Serial Tagging Assignments -- This shows correct details.

WORKAROUND
--------------
Close form and re-open again to query a new item.
