Symptoms

In the "Select Sections: <Page Layout Name>" HTML page, selecting the section when creating a Page Layout errors with:

You have selected sections [<Section View Name & Number>, <Section View Name and Number>] from the same entity, Please select only one section corresponding to that entity.

Short Name: PA_DUPLICATE_REGN_VIEW
Meaning: You have selected sections &VIEW_NAMES from the same entity, Please select only one section corresponding to that entity.

Applied patch 30875801 (1OFF:30278343:PAGE LAYOUT SELECTED SECTIONS ARE NOT APPEARING), but did not resolve the issue.

Replication Steps:

1.> Projects Self Service responsibility > Projects: Setup > Page Layouts
2. In the Page Layouts page, click the Update pencil icon for the desired Page Layout.
3. In the Update Page Layout page, see under the section, Sections, with the following:

Section Name (example)
Project Information
Financial Performance
Section View Name & Number
Section View Name and Number
Section View Name & Number
Section View Name & Number
Section View Name and Number

Choose the Select Sections button.

4. In the "Select Sections: <Page Layout Name>" page, see the following under Selected Sections:

Selected Sections column:
Financial Performance
Section View Name & Number
Section View Name and Number
Section View Name & Number
Section View Name & Number
Section View Name and Number

5. Choose under the Available Sections column, Section View Name AND Number. Move the section to the Selected Sections column.
