Oracle Payments logs show message "replacing protocol https with http" when making a connection. Is this an expected behavior?

Goal
The Payments logs (i.e. iby.log, iby_af.log, fnd logs and/or IBY concurrent program logs, usually generated
from note 1635161.1) show the following entry at the time of the connection to the Payment System:
replacing protocol https with http
