Last updated on JULY 20, 2024

Applies to:

Oracle Transportation Management - Version 6.4.3 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

In OTM 6.4.3 On-Premise version, for a Shipment while executing the Shipment Action Edit Service Provider and Cost, OTM is copying Involved Party entries from the related Order Release(s) into the Shipment.
As per end user, the expected behavior is, no involved party details should be copied from Order Release to Shipment automatically on execution of this action.

This observation can be reproduced with the below steps:

01. Create an Order Release
02. In the Order Release, under Involved Parties TAB enter one or more Involved Parties details
03. Perform Bulk Plan for the Order Release and in the Shipment created, delete the unwanted Involved Party Contact and Involved Party Location under its Involved Parties Tab
04. For the same Shipment ID Select and perform >> Actions >> Shipment Management >> Change Service Provider >> Edit Service Provider and Cost
05. After selecting the alternate Service Provider press OK
06. Now, in Involved Parties Tab of Shipment we can find, all the Involved Party Contact and Involved Party Location tagged in Order Release ID parties are copied
