Update Organization FDPSTP Failed Due To ORA-54017: UPDATE Operation Disallowed On Virtual Columns (Doc ID 2954099.1)

Symptoms

Problem Statement:

When attempting to update an organization via the forms or API, the following error occurs:

ORACLE error 54017 in FDPSTP

Cause: FDPSTP failed due to ORA-54017: UPDATE operation disallowed on virtual columns
ORA-06512: at "APPS.HR_ORGANIZATION_API", line 2290
ORA-06512: at "APPS.HR_ORT_UPD", line 99
ORA-06512: at "APPS.HR_ORT_UPD", line 68

 

Steps to Reproduce:
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1.  Responsibility: US HRMS Manager

  2.  (N) Work Structures > Organizations > Define

  3. Make any update to existing organization

    OR

  4. Call API HR_ORGANIZATION_API directly to update an organization's details.
