GST: Non-recoverable Tax Cost Not Loaded into Item Cost for Average Costing Inventory Organization during Purchase Order Receipt (Doc ID 2954541.1)

Last updated on JUNE 19, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle Financials for India - Version 12.1.1 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

For Purchase Order (PO) receipt under Average Costing Inventory Organization, non-recoverable Tax Cost is not loaded into Item cost for some items. It is expected that during PO receipt, Oracle Financials for India (OFI) will interface the non-recoverable Tax cost to inventory that will process the Average Cost update transaction to load the same into Item cost.

The issue can be reproduced with the following steps:
1. Enter PO Receipt and select line items to receive.
India Local Purchasing-> Oracle Purchasing-> Receiving -> Receipts
2. Go to Tools > India tax details and apply non-recoverable Taxes.
3. Confirm Taxes at Receipt and save.
4. Query the Item cost in Inventory and observe that Tax Cost is not loaded.
India Local Inventory-> Oracle Inventory-> Costs-> Item Costs
