How Does the Customer Search Work in Oracle iReceivables? (Doc ID 2958016.1)

Goal

When using the customer search from Oracle iReceivables, the values returned by the search are not always showing the expected results.  The results are different if there is a comma in the customer name.

Steps to Reproduce:

Responsibility: iReceivables 2.0 Internal
Navigation
:Customer Search

  1. Using the following example.  Customers with the following names exist in the system:

    Customer Inc.
    Customer, Inc.

  2. Searching on the following options, and the results:

    Search on 'Customer Inc.'
    - Search by Customer Name/Number is not checked
    - Only customer 'Customer Inc.' is returned

    Search on 'Customer, Inc..'
    - Search by Customer Name/Number is not checked
    - That specific customer is returned, along with several other customers in 'Customer' or 'Inc.' in the name/address

    Search on 'Customer Inc.'
    - Search by Customer Name/Number is  checked
    - Only customer 'Customer Inc.' is returned
