Last updated on SEPTEMBER 04, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle Mobile Field Service - Version 12.2.6 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Find that in Mobile Field Service (MFS) app,  all the task status transitions are available, even though specific transitions were set based on task type and responsibility.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Define task status transitions based on a certain task type:
- Log in with Service responsibility.
- Open Task and Escalation Status form and click on Define Transitions button
- In Rule tab, create a new rule for Field Service/Palm application and assign status transitions to this rule
- in Resposibility/Task Type tab create a mapping for Responsibility= <Oracle Mobile Field Service>/Task type=<Dispatch>/ Rule= <Rule created in previous step>.
2. Go to Mobile Field Service Administrator responsibility and run JTM Master concurrent with Lookup parameter.
3. Sync MFS client.
4. Open a task that has Dispatch type and check the task status transitions.
