Symptoms

When updating or creating an Oracle Alert, receive the error:

APP-ALR-04104: SQL error ORA-01400: cannot insert NULL into ("ALR"."ALR_ALERT_INPUTS"."NAME") occurred while performing he following: Inserting new alert inputs (STMT=INSERT into alr_alert_inputs(application_id, alert_id, name, last_update_date, last_updated_by, creation_date, created_by, start_date_active, enabled_flag, title, data_type) VALUES (:0,:1,:2,sysdate,:3,sysdate,'Y',"5,'C'))


STEPS

Using Alert Manager responsibility
Navigate - Alert / define [ALRALERT.fmb]
Query Alert name
