Symptoms

When attempting to submit a Payroll Concurrent Program (Deposit Advice) the following error occurs:

Printing output file.
  Number of copies : 1
  Printer : H_pay_k2_dp_x
Error 0xfffffff9 Processing Ack. pRC=0x68 sRC=0x0
Error 0xfffffff9 on Primary Server/Port, Trying alternate. pRC=0x68 sRC=0x0
Pasta: Error: Check printCommand/ntPrintCommand in pasta.cfg
Pasta: Error: Preprocess or Print command failed!!!
APP-FND-00500: AFPPRN received a return code of failure from routine FDUPRN. Program exited with status


The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

1. Customer is migrating from Sun Solaris to a Linux platform.
2. Regression testing for printer issue failed.
3. Submit the concurrent program Deposit Advice.
4. A Third Party Application is used for printing.
5. Attempting to submit the pre process or print command fails.
