System throwing error Message "FRM-40735: PRE-INSERT trigger raised unhandled exception ORA-01422" while approving Adjustments

Error captured in Logs:

"ORA-01422: exact fetch returns more than requested number of rows
ORA-06512: at ""APPS.JL_BR_AR_OCC_DOCS_WRT_N_ABTMT2"", line 54
ORA-04088: error during execution of trigger 'APPS.JL_BR_AR_OCC_DOCS_WRT_N_ABTMT2'

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Navigate to Brazil Receivables responsibility and create a Receivables Adjustment.
2. Try to approve the same.
3. Notice the given error.
