Symptoms

While running the hr_fi_person_api.update_fi_person API using SQL Developer or another related tool (for example Toad), the following error message is displayed in script output:

ORA-20001: HR_51356_UTILITY_PIPE_TIMEOUT:

 

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Login to SQL database using relevant tool (for example SQL Developer/ Toad).
  2. Execute the API with required parameters.
  3. Observe that the API is ending in error.
