Picking in OPM batches allocates lots that have not expired yet as of the time of doing the Picking, but will have expired by the Material Requirement date.

For example,

On-hand available:

Subinventory   Locator            Lot       Expiration Date  Qty
SubinvA       Rack1-Shelf C   199916    18-May-23        900
SubinvA       Rack1-Shelf C   199917    20-May-23       1000
SubinvA       Rack1-Shelf A   199904    25-May-23        100
SubinvA       Rack1-Shelf A   100413    31-May-23        500

Batch is created with Planned Start Date and Material Requirement Date: 20-May-23

When the Picking is done on 16-May-23 for the batch the following line was picked.
Subinventory   Locator           Lot       Expiration Date   Qty
SubinvA       Rack1-Shelf C   199916   18-May-23         900

Instead of the line:
Subinventory   Locator           Lot         Expiration Date  Qty
SubinvA        Rack1-Shelf A  199904    25-May-23        100
