Goal
How does one allocate on hand quantity for sales order lines created within lead time where sales order line reservation is tied outside item lead time that should be allocated to new orders or updated orders?
Scenario
Item - A
On Hand on 13-July-23- 100 qty
Lead Time - 6 days
Sales order
Sales Order 1 - 50 qty (14-July-23) - Within Lead Time
Sales Order 2 - 20 qty (28-Aug-23) - Outside Lead Time
After reservation for above 2 sales orders, item on hand qty is 30 qty
New drop in sales order
Sales Order 3 - 50 qty (15-July-23) - Within Lead Time
In this case, a standard process to un-reserve the sales order 2 line with 20 qty (outside lead time) and allocate to within lead time sales order 3 to 50 qty (30+20) automatically.
