UK: 'GB BIK Car and Car Fuel' Element Is Incorrectly Calculated in Pay Advice Report When a New Car is Taken Part Way Through the Year (Doc ID 2965445.1)

Symptoms

When a new car is taken part way through the year, the 'GB BIK Car and Car Fuel' element is incorrectly calculated in Pay Advice Report.


The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Under UK HRMS Manager responsibility or equivalent.
2. Navigate to People > Enter and Maintain > search for one employee.
3. Go to Assignment > Entries.
4. Go to 'GB BIK Car and Car Fuel' element added to the assignment from 6 April 20NN.
5. Go to Entry Values and check the below fields:
Benefit Start Date = 06-apr-20NN
Benefit End date = 05-apr-20NN+1
Car Identifier = ABC123456C
Make of car = XXX
Model Test1
Date first Registered = 01-apr-20NN-1
List price = 19200
Fuel Type = Petrol
CO2 Emissions = 100

6. Navigate to People > Enter and Maintain > search for one employee > Go to Assignment > Others > Quick Pay
7. Run Quick Pay for April, May, June and July 20NN period
8. Go to View Results > SOE Report > open the Pay Advice Report > the results are expected between April 20NN and July 20NN
9. Navigate to People > Enter and Maintain > Query for employee > Assignment > Entries > Date track to 31-Jul-20NN > click on 'GB BIK Car and Car Fuel' element > Go to Entry Values and update 'Benefit End date' = 31-Jul-20NN (end date of the existing car)
10. Date track to 01-Aug-20NN and update the 'GB BIK Car and Car Fuel' element to reflect the new car.
11. Go to Entry Values and update the below fields:
Benefit Start Date = 01-aug-20NN
Benefit End date = 05-apr-20NN+1
Car Identifier = ABC123999C
Make of car = YYY
Model Test2
Date first Registered = 01-apr-20NN-1
List price = 30000
Fuel Type = Petrol
CO2 Emissions = 75

12. Navigate to People > Enter and Maintain > Query for employee > Go to Assignment > Others > Run Quick Pay for August 20NN period.
13. Go to View Results > SOE Report > open the Pay Advice Report > the 'GB BIK Car ad Fuel' is incorrectly calculated for the new car.
