Symptoms


COST:PAC: The variance amount generated by the PAC calculation is not going into cost variance account

The variance amount generated by the PAC calculation is suppose to go into the cost variance account but upon checking cannot see the values.

A variance value is calculated each time there is a difference between PAC cost and the Purchase price. This variance should be reflected on the cost variance account

The variance amount generated by the PAC calculation is suppose to go into the cost variance account

STEPS

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Responsibility: Cost Management - SLA
2. Navigation: Costing
3. Under PAC > Periodic Costing > View Periodic Material and Receiving
   Source type= Periodic Cost Update
   NO variance account displayed

4. Review following reports:
   Periodic Acquisition Cost Report
   Periodic Inventory Value Report
   Periodic Material and Receiving Distribution Details Report
   Items Cost Change report
