R12 AP: Imported Line Tax Type is Calculating Withhold Tax When Not Expected. (Doc ID 2967931.1)

Last updated on SEPTEMBER 06, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle Payables - Version 12.0.0 to 12.2.12 [Release 12.0 to 12.2]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

The issue consist that in the interface tables a custom process put tax code to all lines, including tax lines. So when user try to validate the invoice in the invoice workbench (or using Invoice Validation program), the lines type tax also calculate the tax (or Withhold) creating a difference between the Invoice Header and Lines (Distribution Variance Hold).

Tax Lines should not Calculate Withhold or Tax.

To reproduce it follow next steps:

  1. Use the custom import process to import invoices.
  2. Execute the Payables Open Interface Import program
  3. Navigate Invoices Entry Invoices
  4. Query Invoice imported
  5. Try to validate invoice.
