Symptoms

When attempting to update quantity at line level for a purchase order line with multiple shipments and distributions, the following error occurs.

ERROR
Error: Error: Line #1 Shipment #1 quantity (4) does not match distribution quantity (3).

Error: Error: Line #3 quantity (70) does not match shipment quantity (72).


STEPS
1. Navigate to Purchasing responsibility -> Purchase orders -> Purchase order summary.
2. Query by order number 03-2-00-xxxx-23 and go to purchase orders form.
3. Purchase order 03-2-00-xxxx-23 was created with 1 line, 1 shipment and 2 distributions.
4. Update quantity at line level from 3 to 4, and submit for approval.
5. The following error occurs
Error: Line #1 Shipment #1 quantity (4) does not match distribution quantity (3).
(Quantity was not updated at distribution level due to multiple distributions)

6. Query by order number 32-2-00-xxxx-23 and go to purchase orders form.
7. Purchase order 32-2-00-xxxx-23 was created with 4 lines, and line# 3 was created with 2 shipments.
8. Update quantity at line level for line# 3, from 72 to 70, and submit for approval.
9. The following error occurs
Error: Line #3 quantity (70) does not match shipment quantity (72).
(Quantity was not updated at shipment level due to multiple shipments)
