Need To Update The BOM Version In A Work Order Created And Not Completed

Goal
As of current funcitonality, in WIP, the current BOM version will be picked up while creating the work order. After certain time, due to some requirement, the BOM version got changed and new components might be added or replaced. We want the feature like we can replace the existing BOM version with the latest version if such version is available for all the uncompleted WOs. As of now we are cancelling the existing WOs and recreating them. This is a tedious process for the business and lot of manual work involved.
Please provide how to achieve this feature in EBS R12.1.3/R12.2+ Work in Process.
Is there an ER that exists for BOM refresh in a Work Order? Is it possible to do a BOM refresh in the current design of standard functionality.
