WSH_NO_DATA_FOUND Error Occurs When Attempting to Cancel Order Line

Symptoms

This note applies only to release 11.5.9 and earlier releases of e-Business Suite, which are now in sustaining support.  The fixes in 11.5.9 should have been carried forward to 11.5.10.x and 12.x releases; so if this issue is encountered in one of these more recent releases, please log a new SR with Oracle Support.


When attempting to cancel the remaining quantity on a partially shipped split line by selecting action cancel and changing the order quantity in the sales order form, the following error is raised and is preventing cancellation:

For example:
1.1 closed as a partial shipment where line 1.2 was created for the remaining quantity to be shipped.
1.2 is awaiting shipping and no records exist in the WSH_DELIVERY_DETAILS table.

STEPS:
-----------
1) Order Management Super User Responsibility
2) Orders, Returns
3) Query Order in Order Organizer and Open
4) Select Lines Tab
5) Highlight line to cancel (in example, line 1.2)
6) Select Actions > Select Cancel
7) Error is raised.
