'ORA-20002: [WF_NO_USER]' Error While Registering as a Candidate or 'You cannot reset password for this user' when Attempting to Reset Password in ircEmpVisitor.jsp (External iRecruitment Page) (Doc ID 2976862.1)

Symptoms


Scenario 1:
From the iRecruitment Applicant Visitor Page, after clicking register here and submitting the details the following error appears on the registration page:

Oracle error -20002: ORA-20002: [WF_NO_USER]
NAME=NAME@XXXXXXX.COM ORIG_ SYSTEM=NULL ORIG_SYSTEM_ID=NULL has been detected in FND_USER_RESP_GROUPS_APlINSERT_ASSIGNMENT.

Upon reviewing FND Logs the following error can be seen:

ORA-12728: invalid range in regular expression



Scenario 2:
External Candidate (Site Visitor) which click the e-mail link from the iRecruitment Forgot Password functionality and enter their details to reset their password, get the following error when clicks submit button:

You cannot reset password for this user

Upon reviewing FND Logs the following error can be seen:

ORA-12728: invalid range in regular expression

Scenario 1 can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

    1. Navigate to the iRecruitment External Applicant Page.

    2. Click Register.

    3. Enter Details.

    4. Click Submit.

    5. Get error.

 

Scenario 2 can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

    1. Go to IrcEmpVisitor.jsp page (External iRecruitment Page).

    2. Click Forgot Password > a link is sent to the owner's e-mail address.

    3. Once the Link is clicked to Reset the Password the user enters their e-mail address and clicks submit.

    4. Get error.
