Error Occurs When Assigning Asset Group Seeded Template On New Asset Group Item Definition. (Doc ID 2977195.1)

Symptoms

Unable to apply the seeded @Asset Group (Asset Group Template) item template due to the following error:

The following attributes of the @Asset group templates were not copied:
Effectivity Control

Attribute modified: Serial number control.

Asset Group must be unit effective.

The issue can be reproduced with the following steps:
1. [R] Enterprise Asset Management
2. [N] Assets > Asset Groups
3. Enter the asset group item name
4. Select the asset group template
5. Save.
OR
1. [R] Inventory
2. [N] Setup > Items > Master Items form
3. Enter new item name and description
4. Go to Menu > Tools > Copy From
5. Select asset group template
6. Save.
