Goal

Please confirm why Oracle PER_MX_STATE_CODES Mexico States codes are not matching with International Organization for Standardization (ISO) codes.

Seeded Oracle tables for Mexico states do not use the ISO standard codes. There are several cases where “the conventional abbreviation” is used over the ISO code.

Example:
Conventional abbreviation ISO 3611-2:MX
Aguascalientes MX-AGU
