GST: Unable To Update Tax Category Name in Tax Category Setup Form (Doc ID 2985265.1)

Symptoms

Tax Category name is grayed out for existing categories in Tax Category Setup form and is not available for update. Tax category is being used on multiple threshold setups so it is expected that name can be updated at Tax Category setup so that the changes appear on all related threshold setups.

 The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
 1. Query an existing tax category in setup form:
     Oracle Financials for India - Tax Configuration -> Define Tax Categories
 2. Observe that Tax Category name is grayed out.
