Symptoms

While trying to do ship confirm or perform deliver (Receiving) transaction, user is getting error:

ERROR
Serial Number XXXXXXXXXX for Item already Exists.

Replication Steps
1. Login to Oracle Applications
2. Navigation: Order Management Super User -> Sales Order -> Create a Sales order and enter the items and book the order
3. Navigation: Order Management Super User -> Shipping Transactions -> Shipping Transaction Form, Enter the Order number and search the Order Delivery details.
4. From Actions, Select 'Launch Pick release'
5. Query the Delivery and In the Content tab, Scan the Serials against the delivery and Click 'Done'.
6. Randomly, some of the serials are getting saved, and other list are not getting saved. Click 'Save' in the Content tab.
7. Try to do the ship confirm and get the above mentioned error.

or

1) Inventory super user -> Transactions -> Receiving -> Receipts
2) Query for the Receipt number and click find.
3) Enter the quantity and other mandatory details to be received and save.
Get the above mentioned error.

or

1. Login to MSCA
2. Go to mobile deliver page.
3. Enter required details.
4. Try to complete the transaction and see the error.
