Oracle Warehouse Management - Version 12.2.10 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Symptoms
On : 12.2.10 version, Materials Management
When performing WIP Negative Issue on previously issued out Serials, there is data corruption preventing further transactions on the Serial Numbers
ISSUE
-----------------------
1. Create a Component item (serial control code at Receipt) and Misc. Receipt 2 qty as loose into the Inventory say SER1 & SER2.
2. Create & Book the two Sales Orders on the Component item of quantity 1, say SO1, SO2 and Release the sales order.
3. Ship confirm the SO1 with the LPN and complete the Interface.
4. Ship Confirm the SO2 without LPN and complete the interface.
5. Create an Assembly item
6. Create the Flow routing for the assembly item.
7. Create the BOM for the Assembly and enter the Component item as item created in the Step1
8. Create the Discrete WIP JOB.
9. Go to WIP Material Transactions , select transaction type as WIP Negative Issue and click on Continue
10. Enter the Component item , Sub Inv/Loc, Op Seq and Quantity and then Click on the Lot/Serial button
Case1: INV: Restrict Receipt Serials is Set to No
1. For SER1, which is issued out with LPN, It should not appear in the Serial LOV and user shouldn’t able to enter manually.
2. For SER2, which is issued out as loose, should appear Serial LOV or user should be able to enter manually.
Case 2: INV: Restrict Receipt Serials is Set to Yes
1. Both SER1 and SER2 should not appear in the Serial Lov and user shouldn’t be able enter manually.
Note: WIP currently doesn't support the LPN related functionality. Hence user can't perform WIP Negative issue on the serials that are issued out with LPN irrespective of the INV:Restrict Receipt of Serials Profile value. For the serials that are issued out as loose, user can perform WIP Negative issue, only when the INV:Restrict Receipt of Serials is set to No.
