Discrepancy Between Counted Records and Displayed Records in Buyer Work Center under Notes/My NotesTab (Doc ID 2999023.1)

Last updated on JANUARY 19, 2024

Applies to:

Oracle Purchasing - Version 12.2.10 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

In Buyer Work Center, Notes tab, there is a discrepancy between the Counted Notes displayed in Dashboard and the corresponding number lines displayed under the Dashboard.

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR
---------------
There are less lines displayed under the dashboard than the total number of lines shown in the dashboard itself.

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
-----------------------
To see the same number of lines under the dashboard as per the total number shown in the dashboard.

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Go to Oracle Purchasing > Buyer Work Center
2. Go to Notes section
3. See Overdue Notes '5', but only 4 lines shown, 2 of them having status Planned, 2 having status Active
4. See Planned Notes '3', but only 2 lines shown, having status Planned

Same issue is observed for 'My Notes' section.

When the user checks 'My Notes' box, the results are correctly displayed - meaning that only the notes belonging to that specific user are shown, as expected.

Then, user unchecks the 'My Notes' box, but the results are not refreshed, user still sees only his notes, even though the expectation is to see all notes.

Results are shown correctly only when the user clicks on any of the tiles from the dashboard.

Expectation is that when user is unchecking the 'My Notes' box, to have all notes displayed, without any additional action/click.
