11i GL_INTERFACE Data Imported After R12 Upgrade: Source 'Purchasing' Not Upgraded To 'Cost Management' and Drilldown Leads to Blank Forms (Doc ID 3005922.1)

Last updated on MARCH 28, 2024

Applies to:

Oracle General Ledger - Version 12.0.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Data existed in GL_INTERFACE table in 11i version of the Applications and it was not imported to General Ledger (GL) module before the upgrade to R12 was performed.
After the upgrade only, the data was imported through the standard processes to GL. Note the program 'Upgrade Historical Subledger Transaction Accounting' was run along with the upgrade. For these particular journals, the source 'Purchasing' did not change into 'Cost Management'. Drilldown from the problematic journals to the sublerger's data is not possible, it leads to blank forms.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. While performing the upgrade to R12, this program is run as part of the upgrade: 'Upgrade Historical Subledger Transaction Accounting'
2. After the upgrade completed, use SQL to check the GL_INTERFACE table > Find some Purchasing source data in the GL interface
3. Under General Ledger responsibility > Journal > Import > Run the Journal Import program and Post
4. Journals > Enter > Post > Post any such journals; observe the source is ‘Purchasing’, not ‘Cost Management’ as expected after the upgrade
5. Attempt to drilldown using the dedicated button on the form > reach Purchasing Receiving Accounting > View Receiving Accounting form is blank

Changes

Upgraded to R12.
