Scale Type Defaults Incorrectly for Ingredients Added to a Formula on the Formula Lines Window When the Formula Does Not Allow Scaling (Doc ID 3010007.1)

Last updated on MARCH 12, 2024

Applies to:

Oracle Process Manufacturing Product Development - Version 12.2.9 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

For formulas with the Scaling Allowed checkbox unchecked, if you add an ingredient on the main Formula Details window the ingredient correctly defaults to Fixed scale type.

However, if you click the Ingredients button to bring up the Ingredient Lines window and add an ingredient there, the scale type incorrectly defaults to Proportional.

The scale type should default to Fixed for a non-scalable formula on the Ingredient Lines window as it does on the Formula Details window.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Formulator > Formulas
2. Retrieve a formula
3. Click the Ingredients button at the bottom.
4. Add an ingredient
