LPN Context Shows 7 (Resides In Vendor Site) Even Though Corresponding ASN Is Fully Received (Doc ID 3014857.1)

Last updated on APRIL 04, 2024

Applies to:

Oracle Inventory Management - Version 12.2.10 and later
Oracle Warehouse Management - Version 12.2.10 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

After performing express receipt for the Advanced Shipment Notice (ASN) shipment via Receipts form, License Plate Number (LPN) Context is stuck in 7 (Resides In Vendor Site) and it still holds the shipment details (source_header_id, source_name) of the fully received ASN. Due to this reason, LPN cannot be reused for internal orders.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Create Purchase Order (PO) for WMS enabled org
2. Create ASN and enter LPN details
3. Perform Express Receive from Receipts core form, you will get a popup message "Material is currently packed in LPN XXXXX. Proceeding with this transaction will result in unpacking of material from the LPN" while performing receipt, click OK and then save the transaction.
4. Observe that PO is received in loose but LPN context still shows 7 and it still holds the shipment details.
