Unable To Initiate Appraisal Due To Error ORA-20001: The definition of the absence duration Fast Formula is incorrect On Java Stack Log (Doc ID 3015582.1)

Symptoms

When user is trying to start the appraisal task from Manager Self Service responsibility, the following error occurs on Appraisal page:

 

You have encountered an unexpected error. Please contact the System Administrator for assistance.

 

Error from the java error stack as below:

java.sql.SQLException: ORA-20001: The definition of the absence duration Fast Formula is incorrect.

Please ask your System Administrator to verify that the inputs and outputs of the formula are passed and that they are of the correct type.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

1. Go into the responsibility: Manager Self Service.

2. Navigate to Performance Management page.

3. Select Manage Appraisal task.

4. Click on Appraise option.

5. Get error.
