R12 WebADI Custom Integrator OOXML/Non-OOXML Disregards Protected Mode Setup Flag, Allows Update to READONLY Cells and Prevents the Insertion of Rows in the Line Section (Doc ID 3017281.1)

Last updated on OCTOBER 08, 2024

Applies to:

Oracle Web Applications Desktop Integrator - Version 12.2.7 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

WebADI template for Custom Integrator is downloading in Protect mode, even when setting Protect Sheet flag to No, as described in Doc Id 2453740.1.

Even after applying Patch 35164925:R12.BNE.C and Patch 35447235:R12.BNE.C, the issue still remains, checked for both OOXML/non-OOXML documents, using Profile Option BNE: Enable OOXML Standard as below:

- When Profile Option BNE: Enable OOXML Standard is set to Yes at User level, WebAdi template is opening in Protect mode.

- When Profile Option BNE: Enable OOXML Standard is set to No at User level, WebAdi template is opening in Unprotect mode, but allows to update READONLY cells and prevent the insertion of rows in the Line section.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Desktop Integration responsibility
2. Create Document
3. Using Custom Integrator with Custom Layout. In the related Custom Layout, not using Total Line.
4. Using Profile Option BNE: Enable OOXML Standard = Yes at User level, WebAdi template is opening in Protect mode.
5. Using Profile Option BNE: Enable OOXML Standard = Yes at User level, WebAdi template is opening in Unprotect mode, but observe the below issues:
5.1. The WebAdi template is allowing to change the fields that are marked as read only in the template definition.
5.2. The WebAdi template is not allowing to insert the new rows in the Line section.
