In Oracle iProcurement, Item Description is Getting Changed On a Punchout Requisition During the Checkout Process (Doc ID 3018363.1)

In Oracle iProcurement, when returning from the supplier punchout site and submitting the requisition, the item description is changing.

It is expected that the item description will match the description from the supplier punchout site.
Due to this issue, users appear to be entering the incorrect item when creating the punchout requisitions.


Steps To Reproduce

1. Log in to Oracle Applications.
2. Navigate to an iProcurement responsibility > iProcurement Home Page.
3. Click the link to connect to the punchout supplier site.
4. On the punchout site, add an item to cart.
The supplier site's item description is (for example):
PIP Coated Gloves: L ( 9 ), Dotted, Foam Nitrile, Dotted/Double Dipped, Nylon ( 15 ga ), 12 PK

5. Perform checkout from the supplier site.
6. Now back in iProcurement, on the Edit and Submit Requisition page, see the Item Description is there, but is "doubled" and has "PIP" changed to "TK91072943T":

7. Save the requisition and start a new cart.
8. Now, go back to iProcurement Home page, and open the requisition again.
9. On the Requisition page, see the cart is showing the correct description.

10. Click the Complete button to complete the checkout process.
11. On the Edit and Submit Requisition page, see the Item Description has changed to a description from a previously-entered Standard Purchase Order document (not a BPA) and the value is also "doubled":
