"(Code 3231) Must Not Have a Value", "(Code 3232) Must Have a Value" and "(Code 3233) Must Have a Value" Errors Are Displayed in the Create Tax Year End Exception Log after Running Tax Year End Data Validation and Preprocess Concurrent Program (Doc ID 3026714.1)

Symptoms

After running the 'Tax Year End Data Validation and Preprocess' concurrent program, the following errors are displayed in the 'Create Tax Year End Exception Log' for one employee:

Employee Number : <employee_number>
Assignment Number : <assignment_number>
If the Directive Income Source Code (Code 3232) and Directive Income Amount (Code 3233) do not have a value, then the Directive Issued Date (Code 3231) must not have a value.
If the Directive Issued Date (Code 3231) or Directive Income Amount (Code 3233) has a value, then the Directive Income Source Code (Code 3232) must have a value.
If the Directive Issued Date (Code 3231) or Directive Income Source Code (Code 3232) has a value, then the Directive Income Amount (Code 3233) must have a value.


The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

1. Under ZA HRMS Manager Responsibility or equivalent.

2. Navigate to People > Enter and Maintain > Query for employee > Assignment  > Entries > Enter 'Lump Sum Amounts' type element having 'Directive Number' entry value with a leading space at the beginning.


3. Navigate to Processes and Reports > Submit Processes and Reports > Single Request > Run 'Payroll Run ZA' and 'PrePayments' processes for the relevant period.

4. Navigate to Processes and Reports > Submit Processes and Reports > Single Request > Run 'Tax Year End Data Validation and Preprocess' concurrent program for the relevant tax year.

5. The following processes are spawned automatically:
  - 'Tax Certificate Preprocess (Tax Certificate Preprocess)' concurrent program.
  - 'Create Tax Year End exception log (Create Tax Year End Exception Log)' concurrent program.

6. Click on View Log for the Create Tax Year End Exception Log > Observe above errors are displayed for one employee.
