'PSP: Import Payroll Transactions From HRMS' Process Fails with Errors in Log: "Server Side API failed and did not return an error message." and "ORA-06502: PL/SQL: numeric or value error: number precision too large" (Doc ID 3027469.1)

Symptoms

After upgrading to application version 12.2.6 or above, the PSP: Import Payroll Transactions from HRMS concurrent process is completing with errors which can be seen in the log file.

ERRORS
-----------------------
Server Side API failed and did not return an error message.
ORA-06502: PL/SQL: numeric or value error: number precision too large


The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps in Labor Distribution responsibility:

1. Log in to Labor Distribution responsibility or equivalent.

2. Navigate to Processes and Reports > Run > Single Request > Run PSP: Import Payroll Transactions from HRMS process.

3. Click on View Log button and observe above error is displayed in the process log.
