PACODTBC: Burdened Cost Exception Report Shows Rejection Reason KEY_FLEX_FAIL Invalid Accounting Flexfield (Doc ID 3027616.1)

Symptoms

PRC: Distribute Total Burdened Cost has exceptions listed for a project.

The Burdened Cost Exception Report shows transactions that failed with the Rejection Reason - 'KEY_FLEX_FAIL Invalid Accounting Flexfield'

The log file will contain error messaging providing the AutoAccounting segment and value that failed.

Example;

APP-FND-01023: The following required field does not have a value: <\parameter value>
paacaf-E: Failed to validate flexfield
Warning in Flex Validation for line '1:ALL:Y:12000'
paafui-E: Error calling paacaf

Value <Invalid Value> for the flexfield segment <Segment Name> does not exist in the value set <Lookup Set Name>
paacaf-E: Failed to validate flexfield
Warning in Flex Validation for line '1:ALL:Y:12000'
paafui-E: Error calling paacaf

This issue can be reproduced when running burden distribution programs.

  1. Log into a Projects responsibility
  2. Navigate to Reports > Run
  3. Submit PRC: Distribute Total Burdened Cost or PRC: Create and Distribute Burden Transactions
  4. Review program exception report
