Symptoms

Credit memo applied against the negative amount Invoice is not working as expected. Tax amount is not reversed and throwing error as below:

 APP-AR-11089: You cannot increase the balance of this transaction.

 

Steps to reproduce the issue:

1.  Receivable responsibility

2.  Created invoice with negative amount

3.  Go to actions -> credit note

4.  Complete the credit note.

5.  It will give error - APP-AR-11089: You cannot increase the balance of this transaction.

FND Debug log show bellow error message:

raise_error: arp_non_db_pkg.check_natural_application(2)-AR_CKAP_NATURALAPP
ERROR:  overapplication of the tax amount
arp_trx_validate.add_to_error_list()+
p_mode = STANDARD
adding: ctid: 487841  trx_number: 4093  line: ,
  msg: AR_CKAP_NATURALAPP token 1   token 2
error location:
APP-AR-11089: You cannot increase the balance of this transaction.

Changes

Patch 32991247was applied which create issues with the applied negative invoices
