Symptoms

Project Contracts is sending email notifications that a contract has expired. Additional information in the email shows:

Immediate Action Required: The <> for Contract # <> (<>) has expired.
Please obtain the additional documentation required and update the Contract with the current information.

When trying to update the contract to fix the error, receive error of,

APP-OKE-248089 You can not update this contract at this time. Updating is not allowed for the current status.

Requesting the contract to be set from Expired to Active.

Replication Steps:

1. User receives email notification that a contract has expired.
2. Navigate to > Project Contracts > Contract Organizer.
3. In the Contract Organizer screen, click the Recent Documents. Choose the desired Contract.
4. In the Contracts Workbench screen, error appears.

APP-OKE-248089: You cannot update this contract document at this time. Updating is not allowed for the current status.
