Customer Form, Contacts Error: Inactivating Contact Raises Error: APP-AR-96282 Error: You cannot update column EMAIL_FORMAT to null (Doc ID 303522.1)

Contacts with Phone + Email address data was loaded through the Customer Interface process. However, it appears that the interface did not populate the EMAIL_FORMAT column.  Now when you attempt to inactivate the contact the following error is raised:

APP-AR-96282: Error: You cannot update column EMAIL_FORMAT to null
