Customer Merge Error: Fails With "ERROR: AR.AR_CMGT_ACCOUNT_MERGE.TRX_SUMMARY_ACCOUNT_MERGE Updating table AR_TRX_SUMMARY" (Doc ID 303729.1)

Symptoms

Run customer merge for some customer and it fails.

The following error appears in the log file:

MSG-00001: TRX_SUMMARY_ACCOUNT_MERGE
MSG-00001: ARP_CMERGE_MASTER.merge_crm_products : User-Defined Exception
MSG-00001: TRX_SUMMARY_ACCOUNT_MERGE
ARP_CMERGE_MASTER.merge_crm_products : User-Defined Exception
MSG-00100: merge_products errored out
MSG-00100: ARP_CMERGE_MASTER.clear_error_merge_rows()+
MSG-00100: ARP_CMERGE_MASTER.clear_error_merge_rows()-

The Customer Merge Execution Report is showing the merge status as "Failed" with the following error:

ERROR:  AR.AR_CMGT_ACCOUNT_MERGE.TRX_SUMMARY_ACCOUNT_MERGE
Updating table AR_TRX_SUMMARY
TRX_SUMMARY_ACCOUNT_MERGE

Customer Merge runs successfully for other customers.
