Timecard Stuck In Submitted Status on Recent Timecards Self-Service Page After Only One of the Human Resources (HR) Supervisors Approved the Timecard (Doc ID 3039244.1)

Last updated on AUGUST 06, 2024

Applies to:

Oracle Time and Labor - Version 12 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When just one supervisor approves the timecard for a specific period, the timecard stays in Submitted status on the Recent Timecards page, instead of Partially Approved.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

1. Using HRMS Manager responsibility.

2. Navigate to People > Enter and Maintain.

3. Search for the affected employee.

4. Click on Assignment and observe that the employee has 2 active assignments.

For example:
Assignment 1 from 26-nov-2023 to 30-may-2024.
Assignment 2 from 31-may-2024.

5. Click on Supervisor tab for each assignment and observe that both assignments have different supervisors.

6. Using OTL Self Service responsibility.

7. Navigate to Time > Create Timecard and create a timecard for example from 01-may-2024 to 31-may-2024 > Submit.

8. Login as first or second supervisor and approve the timecard.

9. Navigate to Time > Recent Timecards.

10. Observe that when just one supervisor approves the timecard for the specific period, the timecard stays in Submitted status on the Recent Timecards page.

Note:
If both supervisors approve the timecard, the status changes to Approved status.
