Last updated on SEPTEMBER 02, 2024

Symptoms

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR
---------------
ECC Procurement Dashboard Security issue

A critical issue is encountered, concerning Document Security within the ECC Procurement Dashboard.
Ex: Purchase Requisition xyz is erroneously visible under the ECC Procurement dashboard.

This visibility is contrary business expectations, as the 'Hierarchy' Security Level for PR Document type within the respective Operating Unit (OU) should prevent its display.
Additionally, this PR is not displaying in iProcurement User  responsibility, which is expected due to above Document Security.

According to the ECC Security documentation , access control is managed through Multiple Organization Access Control (MOAC)  and Document security.

Clarification is required on whether MOAC overrides Document security within ECC, or if Document Security is rendered inoperative when MOAC is enabled.

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
-----------------------
'Hierarchy' Security Level for PR Document type within Purchasing Inquiry  responsibility belonging to one OU should prevent to display PR under the ECC Procurement dashboard belonging to Purchasing Inquiry responsibility under another responsibility.

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
Purchasing Command Center -> Requisitions > Purchase Requisition xyz can be found

The requisition should not be visible for the particular user.
