Loans Generating Future Installments When Any Update Is Made in the Origination Tab
(Doc ID 3047282.1)
Last updated on FEBRUARY 10, 2025
Applies to:
Oracle Loans - Version 12.2.2 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Symptoms
Loans can be billed for future installments if data is modified in the Origination tab for that loan. It will keep billing anytime a new change is made.
If nothing is updated in the Origination tab, the loan will correctly not bill.
Nothing with regards to the loan term are being changed, the user is simply adding a Note or an attachment for example.
Steps to Reproduce:
Responsibility: Loan Agent
Navigation: Loans Dashboard
- Create a loan on 01-JAN-2024. The loan start date is 01-JAN-2024
- Bill the loan for January (due date is 31-JAN-2024). By design, the loan cannot be billed for February, prior to 31-JAN-2024.
- On 15-JAN-2024, add an attachment or a note in the Origination tab. After adding the attachment/note, the bill for 01-FEB-2024 can be billed from the amortization schedule of from running LNS:Billing. The loan can continue to be billed into the future if other updates to the origination tab are added.
