(Doc ID 3050065.1)
Last updated on SEPTEMBER 26, 2024
Applies to:
Oracle Warehouse Management - Version 12.2.6 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Symptoms
Cursor movement is behaving differently in MSCA telnet in the Inbound > Receive > PO form.
The behavior changed overnight. Expectation and needed behavior is for the cursor to move to
the beginning of the LPN field when the cursor moves into this field but now the cursor moves
to the end of the LPN field.
The business practice is to enter a prefix at the beginning of the LPN that auto populates.
Since the cursor is now at the end, the user's must backspace to the beginning of the field
in order the enter the prefix reducing data entry efficiency.
Steps
Old Behavior:
- Navigate: Inbound > Receive > PO
- Enter the organization
- Enter the Purchase Order Number
- Screen refreshes, and the cursor ends up in Shipment Number field (which is blank)
The LPN field auto populates wtih the LPN and UOM field is populated - Press the Enter button without entering anything in the Shipment Number field
- Cursor jumps to END of the shipment number field, then immediately moves to the BEGINNING of the LPN number field).
This is the need behavior but due to the behavior change, data capture efficiency is reduced.
New Behavior:
- Navigate: Inbound > Receive > PO
- Enter the organization
- Enter the Purchase Order Number
- Screen refreshes, and the cursor ends up in Shipment Number field (which is blank)
The LPN field auto populates with the LPN and UOM field is populated - Press the Enter button without entering anything in the Shipment Number field
- Cursor jumps to END of the shipment number field, the immediately moves to the END of the LPN number field.
This is the issue as the cursor move to the end of the LPN number field.
Changes
The length of the LPN field changed from 9 characters to 10.
