How can the size of the PO Number column on the sales order form be increased to 240 characters?

As per the business requirement the current character length of the PO reference in OM header is 50 characters.
This is not sufficient to update the Customer PO references given by their customers which is creating payment issues.
Hence Business team is requesting to enable 240 character length in PO reference column to be able to store the full PO number's value.
