Offer Adjustment With Backdated Effective Date Is Not Adding New Offer Product Line (Doc ID 3053422.1)

Last updated on OCTOBER 14, 2024

Applies to:

Oracle Trade Management - Version 12.2.13 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

If Offer Adjustment effective date is later than offer active date, User could not adjust the offer with new discount.  For example, the Offer start date & active date is 1/01/24, and offer adjustment active date 09/01/24.  User entered a new discount amount, after making Active and running the Backdated Adjustment program the offer product line is not showing the new discount product line.

Steps:
1. Create Accrual Offer with start date as sys date.  Offer is Active
2. Create offer adjustment, create a backdated adjustment to 1/01/24
The discount amount is entered as same value. Move adjust to Active
3. Run Backdated Adjustment program. Adj is closed
The offer date from date is updated to 1/01/24
4. Create a second adjustment.
Change the discount from 1 to 2 starting Sept 1.
The effective date is passed as 09/01/24 with new discount of 2.
    Moved adjust to Active
Run Backdated Adjustment program. Adjustoment is closed
5. Checking the offer product discount lines, there is no change made.
The line still shows the discount of 1 and no reference to date 09/01/24.
