Funds Check: Cancelled Requisition Released Commitment To Wrong PA Period (Doc ID 3054401.1)

Symptoms

A requisition was created in MAY-24 and had a commitment created.

When it was cancelled in OCT-24, the released commitment returned the funding to the wrong fiscal year OCT-24, instead of MAY-24 when it was created.

This is preventing the transfer of the budget to the next fiscal year because the original commitment is in the previous fiscal year and the negative commitment is now in the current Fiscal Year.

The issue is identified in the Funds Check Analyzer as 'GL Date Out of Funds Check Range'.

Steps to reproduce are:

1. Create a requisition in Purchasing
2. Add project details
3. Cancel requisition while multiple periods are open
4. Review Project Budget Funds Check
5. Previous period shows a negative budget balance, while the current period shows a positive balance of the same amount.
